Whatever it takes...
As we have quickly come to the end of another school year, we are excited to celebrate the graduation of two of our Club members! While this last year has been unlike any other we've experienced as a Club, we continue to live up to our motto of doing Whatever it Takes to set our youth on the path to a great future--whether that be college, technical school, or entering the workforce.

We are SO proud of Alexis and Jamari and look forward to seeing what's next for them both!

Thank you to our friends at The Village Chapel in Pinehurst for being a blessing to our graduating seniors this year!

Meet Jamari
Favorite memory from high school:
When I first started freshman year, I enjoyed the whole experience in a new and bigger environment.

What advice would you give to incoming high school seniors?
Do not slack off at all and try to look at colleges early.

What has been the highlight of your time spent at the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills?
The Club has kept me on track and helped me be able to buy my own car.

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to work and attend college.

What would you like to do for your career?
I would like to go into Real Estate or have my own barbershop/shoe store.
Meet Alexis
What are you looking forward to most after graduation?
I am looking forward to being successful in everything I do in life.

What advice would you give to incoming high school seniors?
Don't give up, you're almost there!

What has been the highlight of your time spent at the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills?
I joined the staff of the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills as a Junior Staff member. I have appreciated hearing other staff members tell me that this job fits me. It has also meant a lot to hear the staff say they are proud of me, because several of them have watched me grow up!

What are your plans after graduation?
I plan to attend Sandhills Community College and maybe eventually attend a four-year college. I would like to major in Early Childhood Development.

Describe your senior year in three words:
Exciting, overwhelming, scary.

Great Futures Start Here!
Renovations have officially begun on the future home for our Aberdeen Club members at the Logan-Blake Unit of the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills! A few weeks ago, we invited our Board of Directors, staff members, and a few instrumental supporters of this project to help us kick off the renovations.

The interior of the building, which formerly housed Elmore Furniture, has been gutted ahead of renovation work being done by Pinnacle Development. We are excited to share the progress of this project that will help us serve more kids, more often and with greater impact, so stay tuned!
