CEO Corner

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.

“Service to the community is core to our Boys & Girls Clubs values, and one of the many ways young people brighten their paths to great futures. Our members demonstrate leadership and service and are avid volunteers in communities across this nation, with Club members being almost twice as likely to volunteer than their peers nationally.” Jim Clark, BGCA National President

This is true of our youth here at BGCS and in our community.  Service and helping develop our next generation of servant and compassionate leaders is very important to us and the future of our community and our country.  Our youth have had the most challenging year in our lifetime, so we’re focusing on the positives and the ways forward for them and our community.

Fallon Brewington
CEO Boys & Girls Club

Whatever it takes...
Club members have been enjoying their time in the STEM lab. Mrs. Danielle, our STEM Coordinator, has had some fun projects on the agenda! They have created slime, liquid lava, and invisible ink. We can't wait to see their next experiment!

Sponsor A Child, Change A Life!

Many of our kids need financial assistance to cover the cost of Club membership. Your gift of $979.97 (or $82/month) sponsors one child for the entire school year. Without this help, members might not have access to:

Computers and High-Speed Internet – Because of disparities in the availability of technology, many kids are unable to do schoolwork at home and must rely on the Club.

Healthy Meals - Many parents are still out of work, leading to greater food insecurity. Oftentimes, the meals kids receive at the Club or at school are the only ones they have all day.

Encouragement, Sense of Purpose – Club kids receive the nurturing and support many so desperately need. Our trained youth development professionals offer educational assistance, formative guidance, and leadership skills necessary for kids to become productive, caring members of our community.

Our goal is to ensure 190 Club members are sponsored. We currently have 175 Club kids sponsored. If you have the desire to make a difference for a kid in Moore County, now is your chance: Sponsor A Child TODAY!
